7. March 2012: The New Zealand Parliamentarians’ Group on Population and Development (NZPPD) met with United Nations’ leaders Helen Clark and Michel Sidibe while they were in Wellington on a whirlwind tour of duty.
22. September 2011: The New Zealand Parliamentarians’ Group on Population and Development (NZPPD) welcomes the findings of the World Bank’s new World Development Report on Gender Equality and Development, which states that investing in women is an
economically sound strategy.
12. September 2011: The New Zealand Parliamentarians’ Group on Population and Development (NZPPD) commends Pacific Leaders on another successful Pacific Island Forum. In the Forum Communiqué leaders made many important commitments which require ongoing action in the region.
12 August 2011: This year's theme for International Youth Day, 'Dialogue and Mutual Understanding' presents an opportunity to further conversations around adolescent sexual and reproductive health in the Pacific.
1 June 2011: This World Environment Day the New Zealand Parliamentarians’ Group on Population and Development (NZPPD) highlights the relationship between family planning and environmental sustainability.
13 May 2011: The theme of this year’s UN International Day of Families, “Confronting family poverty and social exclusion” highlights the importance of family planning programmes for the reduction of poverty in the Pacific according to the New Zealand Parliamentarians’ Group on Population and Development (NZPPD).
23 February 2010: A new report on maternal health in the Pacific from the New Zealand Parliamentarians’ group on Population and Development (NZPPD) calls on the New Zealand, Australian and Pacific Island governments to take immediate action to improve the maternal health situation in the Pacific.
9 April 2009: Gender, sexual and reproductive health, and other population issues need to be at the heart of addressing climate change, including the current Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) Review. Dr Jackie Blue, Chair, and Hon Steve Chadwick, Vice Chair, of the NZPPD will be briefing colleagues as follow-up to their NZPPD written submission to the ETS Review Committee.
27 January 2009: The Chair of the New Zealand Parliamentarians’ Group on Population and Development (NZPPD) welcomes the announcement that Helen Clark is the preferred candidate to head the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

2 July 2008: The NZPPD highlighted the importance and impact of focusing on population and development issues, particularly in the Pacific, and issued a call for action at the group's ten year report launch on 2nd July at Parliament.
14 May 2008: New Zealand MPs are working together with their peers in the Pacific to address the critical population and development challenges in the region. Tangata Vainerere, Coordinator of the Pacific Parliamentary Assembly on Population and Development (PPAPD), is currently in New Zealand meeting with MPs and other key partners to forge relationships for action on population and development in the Pacific.

28 March 2006. Three New Zealand MPs are visiting Papua New Guinea in April on a Study Tour focusing on poverty in the Pacific, and related issues including HIV/AIDS, gender inequality, maternal and child health, and the environment.
